Prayssac is an agile village in the middle of the vineyards of the AOC Cahors. The village has all accommodations you need to spend a lovely Holiday.
We picked out Prayssac because of his variety. You can find here peace and charm, on the other hand also enough ambiance and swing to live here with 2 teenager daughters.
The village counts 18 wine castles.
Each Friday morning, many people come to visit the wide market where you can find a lot of delicacies.
Purchases can be done at the local supermarket.
Prayssac has his own swimming pool in open air, a cinema, a library and a mediatheke. There are a lot of shops, a few restaurants and bars.

During the summer season a lot of activities are being organized. All information, brochures and leaflets on the different activities and excursions are available at your arrival.
Prayssac has a pleasantly centre where it's lovely to spend some time under the shadow of the planes.
All you need, only a little walk from our house.

The Lot is one of the gaunt crewed regions of France and thanks his name to the same named river. The Lot has one of the greatest sailable river nets of France. The most ideal corner to canoe, even when you're a beginner or a professional.
Here, you can rediscover all peace of the water. No doubt also fishers feels at home.
Each river, each little river flow has his own charm. It's like time stands still.
The region is well known for his castles and many medieval fortified villages.
A visit worth it!
The landscape is very differently: deep dales, forests, rocks, caves, vineyards, glowing hills .... and has a lot of possibilities. Hiking, cycling, canoeing, riding a horse, golf ... Almost everything is possible. No way to get bored here.

The area offers many cultural activities. The Lot is well known for his tourist take care.

And last but not least, the very large wine and famous gastronomic offer.

Adjacent famous towns : Cahors, Saint Cirq Lapopie, Rocamadour, Sarlat, Gourdon and Puy l'Evèque.
A little bit farther away : Figeac, Toulouse, Bergerac, Périgeux, Bordeaux .....
You can visit several caves, make a (canoe) trip along the Lot or the Célé, or on the highlands of Gramat and Limoge, visit a picturesque market or fair. Everywhere you can find a great offer of music festivals, art or culture.

Despite all those possibilities, mass tourism has not yet reached this unique part of France. The locals still seem to understand the real "joie de vivre" which is reflected in their friendly and easy-going attitude.
